The Hub is a positive space for anyone to make art and explore their creative side. Get hands on during drop-in or join in weekly art lessons and heaps of other programs & activities throughout the year.
Programs & activities
There are always art workshops, classes and programs happening at the Hub.
During drop-in you can use the art supplies at the dining booths, including watercolour paints, markers, pencils and paper.
We’ve run all kinds of art programs including sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, street art, digital art, wearable art, jewellery making, leather-work and heaps more.
You can keep up to date by checking out our Events page, our Facebook page or checking out posters at the Hub and around town.
Art sessions
Weekly art sessions run during school terms in the Art Lounge – come share ideas with other artists, learn new techniques and create your own individual works.
At the relaxed weekly sessions you will learn to make all kinds of art including painting, sketching, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media and much more.
In Term One 2019, sessions run 3.30 pm – 5.00 pm on Thursdays for kids aged 8 – 12 years. They cost $10.00 per session, which includes instruction and all materials.

Support the program
The Art Lounge was created with donations of time & materials from community organisations, volunteers and artists.
Local initiative Camp Creative has been a key supporter since 2013.
“We’ve had amazing support – the potential for the Art Lounge is fantastic.
Art programs are tremendous value for our community – there is just so much benefit in bringing our young people, adults and mentors together around activities involving creativity, skills and fun.”
Dean Besley, Hub Co-ordinator
